Al Barsha is an area located in central Dubai that is well known for being affordable, great for families and for its highly convenient location.

Al Barsha is made up of Al Barsha 1, Al Barsha 2 and Al Barsha 3 with Barsha South being the latest addition to the area. Al Barsha 1 is where you’ll find most of the apartment buildings, shops and restaurants. Al Barsha 2, 3 and Barsha South is where the majority of villas are located.

Since the development of the iconic Mall of the Emirates and its equally iconic ski slope (Ski Dubai), Al Barsha has shot to prominence by locals and expats alike. It features a great mix of villas and apartments and over the years has remained reasonably affordable by Dubai’s standards. It’s location between Al Khail and Sheikh Zayed Roads makes it super accessible and handy for daily commutes no matter where you work in Dubai.

With plenty of hospitals and schools in the area, ample shopping options and the lush Al Basha Pond Park within reach, it’s easy to see why growing families have flocked to Al Barsha. Even young professionals will find a home here because it offers comfortable living, lots of great eating options and due to its location, makes getting around a breeze – whether it’s for work or leisure. As a community, Al Barsha has a typical cosmopolitan vibe synonymous with life in Dubai. The area is home to a wide range of expats and Emirati families and the food on offer is just as diverse with everything from Filipino baked goods to Indian cooking to Arabian mezze. There’s also loads and loads of fast food outlets from major chains.

Apartments for rent in Al Barsha range from studios to 3 bedroom apartments with some 4 bedroom apartments also available in rarer instances. A lot of new buildings have sprung up in the wake of UAE’s successful bid to host World Expo 2020 and one can easily pick between new buildings where the paint has barely dried to slightly older ones with very attractive rental amounts. Most apartments come with some furnishings. There’s plenty of hotel apartments for rent in Al Barsha too and that makes it great for tourists and those seeking relatively short term accommodation. These are all walking distance from Mall of the Emirates, Barsha Mall and both the MoE and Sharaf DG metro stations.

The villas for rent in Al Barsha are comfortable, spacious and range in design and style with 3, 4 and 5 bedroom villas very common across the area. A huge plus that comes with living in villas is having a garden or sizeable backyard that either has room for a pool or the space to install one. As Al Barsha is not a freehold area, one can only purchase property if one is a UAE citizen.
