Al Reem Island is an area off the Abu Dhabi coast that has rapidly risen to prominence in just a few years. As one of the newest developments in Abu Dhabi, it boasts ultra modern accommodation options and plenty of retail and dining outlets to boot. Residents enjoy the space and beautiful views of the ocean and the city of Abu Dhabi. It also serves as a great blend between high end living and more affordable housing, all with excellent finishes. What’s interesting about the community on Al Reem Island is that it’s built on a natural island, unlike other developments which are man made. This is an excellent example of where the natural landscape has been used effectively for harmonious eco-conscious living.

There’s mostly 1 and 2 bedroom apartments for rent in Al Reem Island and they’re all equally comfortable and designed to suit every need and personal taste. When it comes to the villas for rent in Al Reem Island, these are big with 4 and 5 bedrooms widely available and naturally suited to large and growing families. Marina Square in particular is highly sought after and comes with its own private beach and many buildings and apartments have ‘smart home’ technology built in making it very advanced.

Al Reem Island is growing still and there will be many more conveniences added to the existing list of parks, grocery stores and restaurants. The community is a mere 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport and well connected to the rest of Abu Dhabi so getting in and out is easy. Yas Island isn’t far and the shopping within Abu Dhabi City Centre itself is also within reach which further confirms Al Reem Island’s status as a very convenient place to live in Abu Dhabi. It’s also home to the Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi which is an extension of the Paris-Sorbonne University from France.

It should be noted that Al Reem Island was one of the first free zones in Abu Dhabi and as such opened up property ownership to non UAE nationals. This heightened interest in the area and is also why many people have been looking for properties for sale in Al Reem Island to live in or as an investment option. As far as rentals go, properties for rent on Al Reem Island suit most budgets. You can rent 1 bedroom apartments for approximately 65,000AED and 2 bedrooms typically start around 75,000AED.

Al Reem Island is on the coast of Abu Dhabi so it's on one side of the largest emirate in the UAE. However it's well connected by bridges and roads so getting to Saadiyat Island to the north east, Al Lulu Island to the west or to the Abu Dhabi City centre itself, is all super easy.
