CAD Draftsman & BIM Modeller

We are currently seeking a skilled and versatile CAD Draftsman & BIM Modeller to join our team. The CAD Draftsman & BIM Modeller will be responsible for preparing fire life safety (FLS) plans, and 3D models using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) software. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in both drafting and BIM modelling, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Create accurate and detailed fire life safety (FLS) plans using CAD software.
• Develop and maintain 3D BIM models incorporating architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) elements.
• Ensure drawings and models adhere to industry standards and regulations.
• Revise and update drawings and models as necessary based on feedback and changes.
• Coordinate and integrate design information from various disciplines into the BIM model.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve design conflicts and optimise project outcomes.
• Maintain an organized library of drawings, models, and project files.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest CAD and BIM software and industry trends.

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a CAD Draftsman and BIM Modeller or similar role.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD) for 2D drafting.
• Strong knowledge of technical drawing principles and drafting techniques.
• Experience with BIM software (Revit) for 3D modelling and coordination.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and standards (e.g., BIM Level of Development).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret and translate design concepts into technical drawings and 3D models.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of fire safety codes and standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
